Just because im not orthodox, or very religious, doesnt take away from my culture. SO dont make accusations regarding my denomination with answers that apply to only a select few.

I live in MA, and I would say no, not in the northeast. There are so many Jewish people up here, and they don't cause any trouble. For the most part they are all well educated, and keep to themselves. Now, in other parts of the country, I don't think they are as accepted. But then again, that's not saying much, those conservatives don't like anybody.

Your own ethinic history should tell you why cultural Jews are disliked in Europe. I feel that everyone diserves a chance, no matter what their situtation. It is what you do with it is up to you. Jews in specific, I feel that they have added to our country in all ways. I think what makes Jews stand out is most obvious in business where there is always the "little something on the side" (I forget the term), that makes others uncomfortable and therefore disliked. They feel as though they are being forced/asked for a "bribe" which is not part of the deal. It goes something like this, did you you know about my grand niece, well she graduates from college next month with a degree in accouting from the "U" with really good grades..... Later on in the discussion the response is I am always on the lookout for new talent in accounting...., and so it goes.
For me, the deal is on the table, car dealers hate me, no negociation, they ask what are you willing to give, knowing that all they then have to do is sell you on the difference between what you are willing to pay and what they want. You have done half+ of the battle. Me on the other hand, says No I do not put a price on another persons stuff, so here is the deal you tell me what you will take for the car. If I like it I buy it. You get one shot so make it your best, then I get to meet the sales manager, the finance manager, the dealership manager and sometimes the owner. I want the deal up front with no "second guessing" or deals on the side. This is what I think makes some people feel dislike toward Jews.

The problem is a global one. the more Israel aggresses, the more Jews will be hated. Israel claims to be a Jewish state, so in the name of Jewry around the globe Israel is committing countless war crimes. Here in NY, there was recently a march where many Jews joined in and publicly announces that the massacre is Not being done in their name.

Additionally, there is the propaganda factor of claiming that anyone who despises Israel despises all Jews. NOT TRUE

Of course not by everyone, but yes they are hated here as well as in other parts of the world. Some believe it is their goal to use America for their own political agenda and others believe they are the cause of the moral decay in this country through the media. They are sometimes blamed for multiculturalism, and other social ills.
