Yeah it's possible! If your dose isn't exactly right, you sure can get another clot. I'm sure you have your levels monitored.Coumadin has a therapeutic window. Too much and you bleed freely. Too little and you still can form clots. I'd definitely see a doctor if I even thought I had a clot. Those can break loose and cause and embolus that can kill you, dear.

Yes, and bring this up to your doc. He should give you heparin to break up the clot. Do you get lab work drawn on a weekly basis? If not, find another doctor.
We have 8 pts on coumadin where I work. It is very important to get a PT/INR done every week to make sure the coumadin is at the correct dose. The dose is always changing to suit the patient.

most of the answers have it right on. Yes you can get a clot no matter what- remember not everyone responds to Coumadin every time. even if you have the right PTT results. So- first of course with your situation you should call and see your doctor. When you call they'll ask what's going on--tell them because maybe they will want to see you sooner. If you go to a Coumadin Clinic, call them too because maybe your PTT isn't where it should be. and they can check that immediately.

even though coumadin is a blood thinner, you can still develop clots. sometimes, you can just be genetically prone to forming clots. also, are you active enough? if you are on coumadin and arent moving around enough/getting enough exercise, you can definitely form clots still. also, you may want to make sure that other medications you are taking arent interfering with the coumadin in any way - any other medications you are taking may interfere poorly and make your blood thicker, making you more prone to making clots even though you're taking a blood thinner.

Extremely possible. This is why regular blood work for dose regulation is required. Diet and other medications affect Coumadin's effectiveness. Best get to ER and get checked.

Yes you can still get a blood clot while on the meds. Be on the safe side - get it checked out.
