Are we tired of mean people that have run things for so long? Are we ready to get back to issues that affect our community, state and country?

Yes 100% ready for that. Let's get back to debate and stop this name calling kindergarten style fighting that's going on right now. I'm so sick of the war between libs and neocons, dummicrats and repubs. It's not about decisions to be made anymore. It's about who's team is going to win the game. Don't people understand the world isn't just some big playing field for the two major US political parties?

Hedddon, did you ever think some people are more interested in opening up talks about what can be done before putting a solution into place. People usually do this so that a compromise can be made and everyone's happy. That's called making sure everyone's happy rather than being a dictator like Hitler. Hitler had a solution and he stuck with it. You think he's a great guy for that?

Rob instead of the same old banter about how bad things are etc.... why don't you and the democrats actually come up with an idea... a plan, heck anything to fix the things you say are broke. And you wonder why the Democrats cant win. they cant win because they have no ideas, no plan for the future other than saying they don't like it now. But that's the problem for you all isn't it. leader ship is hard work.. serious work. It takes people committed to an idea and sticking with it. So why don't you be the first Dem to advance an idea or a plan for anything...... maybe that will start a snowball effect for ya.

I think a change would be hard. I would have thought 9-11 would have helped, but that is short lived.
We had a local election recently. In an effort to find out about the issues, I went to a message board on local politcs. It was horrid. I can't imagine why anyone would put themselves through the harsh treatment.

I say Hell Yea, it's about time we take back our country and stop letting these people who hold alot of $ run it and help themselves out with tax relief cough cough BUSH! They are all the same though, they are politicians. But yes we need to get this country back in order or we're doomed- our founding fathers would be dissappointed in the scandals that go on in this government. If we knew all the truth then we'd probably know why no one outside of America likes us.

I wish it was the end. I really don't think there is a good way around politics. They are really brutal. We could elect a good person into office, but we need to get rid of Bush and his whole cabinet first. It will probably take 10 to 20 yeas to get america out of the rut bush has put us in, but it may be possible.

I don't think mean people are running things....I think that mean and ignorant people from both parties have been very vocal over the last few years..and that needs to stop. Our country would be in a lot better shape if we all started working together....

What?!?!?! You want to get rid of the Ds? Even I wouldn't do that.

Be careful what you wish for.

There was an old Twilight Zone episode (can't remember the title) where an old man wishes for all evil people to be turned into midgets. Well it works, except that he is also turned into a midget.

You know what they say about casting stones? Well I've read some of your questions. You might wish to stock up on extra short pants.

It's funny that "lucky j" would say what he/she said:

"if a dummicrat happens to get elected I will treat him or her as the dummicrats have done to this president".

Considering that a lot of Democrats are ticked because of the way Republicans treated Clinton.

So, they can't even recognize that it's a cycle that they started (I know, it's gone on for a long time, but it HAS gotten worse).

Unfortunately, ignorance, childishness, and petty partisanship will continue to rule the day, as society is heading in the wrong direction. There is no honor, respect, or discipline anymore.
