How can anyone not love America. Look at all the cultures we celebrate. Look at the history of this country, the casts offs and criminals from other countries building it from nothing to it's greatness of today. People who came here with nothing more than the clothes on their backs and the hope of something better. Look at our cities, Boston with its rich colonial history, New York with its hustle bustle world, Atlanta has come a long way since the big fire...I could go on and on. This country has beauty and abundance and we surly are blessed. The song "America the beautiful" says it all. From sea to shining sea.

I love America because of the freedoms we have. I love America because of the Rights we have. No where else on Earth gives its citizens the freedoms , privledges and rights that America gives us. Here you can speak out without the fear of imprisonment for your opinions. At least you could before the whole Patriot Act thing went into play.

Of all people, I think Alice Cooper put it best in his song "I love America" on his Da Da album in the 70's. It's all the freedoms and the expressions of freedom. The most ridiculous things that for some resason wouldn't be tolerated. In fact Alice Cooper or any other artists wouldn't be tolerated in a lot of countries.

You should be able to see lyrics and listen here but I also pasted the lyrics below (better if you hear it)

I love that mountain with those four big heads
I love Velveeta slapped on Wonder Bread
I love a commie...
if'n he's good and dead, yup
I love America

I love Old Glory and homemade pie
I think them Ruskies should be sterilized
I love my chicken Kentucky Fried...
Finger Lickin' Good!

Hey there, this is A.B. Cooper from
Cooper's Carnival of Clean and Classic Cars
It's our Fourth of July ... sale.
Here at Cooper's Carnival of Clean and Classic Cars
At the corner of Collins and Commerce
I've got lot full of the finest funny looking cars money can buy
At prices even you can afford
So come on down and say hello to me, and granny
And bring the kids to meet my snake
I say, "bye"
Granny says, "bye"
and the snake says, "sssssssssss"

I love General Patton in World War II
My Pocket Fisherman and my Crazy Glue
I love the Beav and Wally too, yeah
I love America

I love the bomb, hot dogs and mustard
I love my girl, but I sure don't trust her
I love what the Indians did to Custer
I love America

Here they come!
There they go!

I love my jeans and I love my hair
I love a real tight skirt and a real nice pair
And on the fourth of July, I love the rockets' red glare
I love America

I watch the A-Team every Tuesday night
I graduated, but I ain't to bright
I love Detroit 'cause I was born to fight
I love America

I love the Tigers but I hate the Mets
I ride my Hog but I race my Vette
I gotta job, but hell I'm still in debt
I love America

I love my bar and I love my truck
I'd do most anything to make a buck
I love a waitress who loves to... flirt!
They're the best kind
I love America
Turn me on
Well, I gotta go now
I love America
Bye Bye, I tell you what though, I really do love it
You ain't going to catch me at no mayday rally

I've visited about three dozen countries--I've liked almost all of them, but America is where I belong. We have many opportunities the rest of the world lacks.

I LOVE freedom of speech. And religion. Our Country is so diverse and set up to accomplish so much. We just gotta get that system back in order and this Country will shine brighter than she ever has before!

I can take it or leave it. I've stood up for this country many times only to be told to go away. If I could afford to leave, I think I might consider it.

Eh, can't say that I love it, nationalism isn't in me. But I contribute my share in taxes, abide by its laws, and am an all-around good citizen - and I get a free-market economy in return.
