Nothing more than any of the rest of us know....which is basically nothing. I can remember as a kid in the 60's reading predictions of what life would be like in the year 2000. Almost all of those predictions have not happened. Like the one that said that there would never be the need or want for more than one computer in the entire world. Or that our vehicles would travel above the roadway so we didn't have to worry about tires wearing out. Those are just a couple of those that I remember.

Stephen Hawking is super sexy when talking about black holes and crazy things - especially when he is on The Simpson's punching people in the face with a giant boxing glove.

McCarthney get back to writing songs and stop worrying about things that don't concern you. Hawkins doesn't know about the future of the human race; he's a mathematician/physicist. Outside of his specialty he has not better insights than you have. Could you put that to music? Something like "It's just another day"?.

He's able to surmise rather than tell the future. He does this by extrapolating outward from what he believes to be proved or plausible. Given the factors that he is depending on to support his position he has a good base to move forward into the possibilities that could unfold. Pretty smart chap.

He is only expressing his thoughts of what could happen- from purely a scientific viewpoint. He may have the BEST inkling of how this universe operates of any Terran, but God knows precicely what is going to happen.
