I work for my uncle's wife as her assistant/ processor for a mortgage company. I've closed about 10 deals in the past 3 weeks and she still hasn't paid me. What is a polite way of asking or hinting without leading to a confrontation or fight?

Just say hey Aunt _____ I have closed 10 in the last 3 weeks and I was wondering when I was going to get paid, I have some unexpected bills that have come up and could really use that money.. And if that don't work take her to small claims court.

Situations like this are always hard to deal with...(for me anyway) because I don't like to ask people for anything even if they owe me. For starters your Uncle's wife knows DAMN WELL!!! she owes you money so you shouldn't have to ask. I know how you feel, because I have been There. The only thing I know to do is Not to deal with it!! I would no longer work there and just decide not to deal with her. People especially family can be sooo dirty!! Sometimes you just have to take a lose and learn from this experience. Don't sweat it she only "Thinks" she's getting over!! I mean you can ask her, like she doesn't already know, but either she is going to pay you or she's not!!. Just consider this as a store bought lesson!!

Ask her in a nice way to pony up the dough!! And if she doesn`t then lock her out of her computer with a password that you only know. When she pays you then give her the password!! I had employer do this to me and I walked in one day and took one of the machines that we used that was aorund $30,000 dollars. He came by my house and asked me what I did with it and I said I had know idea where it was but maybe it would appear if he gave me my money. He told me he was going to call the cops and I said go ahead I just hope your wife doesn`t find out that your messing around on her with your coworker. I got my money the next morning!!!

try just popping up and say...hey aunt so and so you forgot to pay me...in a nice neicely way...let her off the hook by saying something like...i guess you just got busy or just overlooked it and there shouldn't be a confrontation...stay cool...if that don't work go on strike or take it to court
