after reading The Clique Series, living in some teen dramatic moments, and being a pretty good writer, I have always wanted to write a book about life as a teen. If u give me a good plot, you get 10 points and ur story could be used in the future. Here are some things i have to say though:
-no REAL romance: (no sexual or inappropiate stuff) just like crushes or sometihng
-try to be unique but realistic
thank you

Well umm I had this dream once I thought it was really cool and I was going to write a book about it but I'm not into writing I'm just really good with ideas!! It's not really based on teen life but it has two teen agers and a younger sister in it!! Alright well umm the two teens and the younger sister were working at a carnival and then one night when they were closing up they found the instructors in an haounted room with all the animals they were puttinggas all around and were going to blow the place on fire!! the girls ran in and tried to stope but couldn't!! They were locked in the cages with the animals and were left their to burn!! Except one of the animals chopped open all the cages and they all ran out!! The instuctors found out and they all ran after them!! They were found in the woods!! They all hid in the swamp except the animals ran free!! !! They called there mom when the people had passed them she told them to go to the lake by the school and shell pick them up!! So they ran out of the woods towards the mall!! the instructors found them and they ran for hours chasing them through the mall!! Then the girls ran across this door!! They opened it and found a staircase!! The instructors were coming and so they ran as fast as they could up the stairs!! They lost the instructors and found them selves in an abondened attic!! They then found a family of naytvie americans in the attic!! They stayed their and helped them out for a little while until the heat died down!! Then they ran to the school and awaited in the lake for a week!! They then called their mom and she had died! They went to the school and everything had went back to normal!! People were acting like they never even left the carnival!! It was all a dream!! Well thats not the whole story but you can make up the rest!! I know it's not based on a teen lie but I thought it was kind of a cool dream if you could picture yourself in it!!!

#1: If I have an idea, I am going to write about it. Maybe not publish it, but I want to write it, not see someone else write it.
#2: Shouldn't you, as a writer that might publish it, think of your own ideas? Isn't that how it is supposed to be, not to mention how it should be?

Hmm interesting. I write too sometimes but I'm not always "in the zone" for good ideas. I've been told by some English teachers I can write well, so maybe I can think something up for you okay? Okay. lol!
A good teenage drama story should have a little of everything - think of all the things we as teens go through. To start it off, think back on some of the things you have experienced: crushes, bullies, friends, fitting in, being yourself, peer pressure. This list goes on.
It shouldn't have just one of these characteristics, but all of them! And they should all be intertwined so as the reader reads the book, they will see the plot start to come together and think "wow, this girl can write a damn good story". It's always nice to read a book and try to figure things out as you're reading. If everything happening is connected somehow, the reader will want to keep reading because it will intrigue them, and they'll be more eager to know what happens next. This is important - you want to grab their attention and pull them in. Maybe try to (as you said) be unique but realistic. Make it fun and different but also keep in mind it should be something the majority of teens can connect with. If they feel like it's something they've experienced and they can relate to it that's just another positive aspect.
So what should happen in this book? Well, for starters the main character could fall in love with a guy who is the complete opposite of her and who she would normally date. They have completely different gorups of friends and have a ahrd time coping with their relationship in school because maybe there are people who don't think they should be dating. To make it even more interesting, throw in a jealous girl who likes the guy she's dating, or the opposite, a jealous guy who wants the girl.
That's just the romance part. You could have the main character's parents get divorced, or her boyfriend's parents get divorced and they struggle to deal with that. There could also be a tragic death of a close friend...
The main character could be influenced by peer pressure to go on a very dangerous diet and end up in the hospital because of anorexia. She could be influenced to start smoking (cigaretes or weed), or pressured into drinking and end up in the hospital for that or doing something she really regrets.\ (here's where you can get creative) She could be really involved with her b/f at this time and end up cheating, hurting him (or herself), saying something completely unlike her that ends up affeting her personally....ect.
You could have the main character be bullied by a group of kids at school because of her odd relationship. She could have her revenge on them by doing all sorts of things such as sticking anonymous notes in their lockers, stealing theit binders right before a tets for study notes, etc..nothing like spray-painting their garages lol that would be way too obvious.
The main character could be dealing with some personal issues, and maybe that's why she got drunk/high/anorexic and not from peer pressure. it's your choice so I'll leave that one to you.
Well, I think that's al I've got lol I'M ALL TYPED OUT. i really hope that helped and you choose this as best answer because I took a lot of time to type it up. Good luck with the story :)
