Let's just say a guy ran a kiddie porn ring, for example, and uploaded the pictures using his laptop computer that has a fingerprint scanner built in (for added security). Would the government be able to match the fingerprint, and therefore his identity, with the uploaded pictures? Would he be caught because he had a fingerprint scanner?

No guesses, please. I want to know for sure!

If it was connected to the internet and the laptop stored the fingerprint scans on its harddrive then it is possible. It is most likely however that the access fingerprint is stored on a seperate system inside the laptop and isnt connected to the laptop itself.
I would say it is not possible. Why put a fingerprint scanner on a laptop if you can just print the fingerprint then rescan that? No, so its not possible.
