do u think that is better to just put to death the day after a convicted felon is sentence to death row.? I mean why wait 2 - 5 years. is it really worth our Tax Money to go, to pay, for serial killers, rapest, child abusers till they go to death row, or that are put in for life?

I agree with your logic, however, there have been cases in the past where people were innocent yet found guilty. I do think that every state should place a limit on the number of appeals and the maximum term a convicted felon may live in the prison. Say, after one year, if your case has not been able to be appealed, then you are sentenced to death. At the same time I feel the death penalty should be for murders, rapists, and especially child molesters. For the child molesters, since they have ruined someones entire life with their actions, they ought to be convicted and put to death after the first offense. Child abusers, those that hit their child not anything sexual, can be cured through psychological treatment and should not be put to death. Reasons for a person to hit another person are deep rooted, but can be weeded out, whereas molesters are sick and have never been proven to be cured. They always seem to relapse, the dirty... anyway... yeah, waiting 2-5 years is a bit much and quite a strain on the economy.

I don't believe anyone has the right to take another life. Our courts are far from being flawless. In the state of Texas the prison system is big business. If someone ever wrongly accused you of such a crime, I think your mind would be changed very quickly.

I think prisons are necessary for those not on death row. I wish it was only 2-5 years before we could execute them. I would like to see the appeal process shortened a tad.

2 to 5 are you nuts they must be on the fast track.go to the TX dept of corrections and look at how long people are on death row there.
if they are 100% guilty i.e. they were caught red handed like j dahmer or that chick that was found nuts who killed her kids then yea kill em off as fast as possible. if there is even a bit of doubt then you have to let them appeal

Some of those felons are wronglfully convicted. You'd be executing innocent people. People don't want that on their conscience. And can you imagine the number of lawsuits the government would have?

No prisons? So what do you do with somebody who steals five bucks worth of groceries, execute them?

Besides, the "justice" system has been known to make mistakes - lots of them. You can easily let someone out of jail should they be determined to be innocent, but it's damn tough to bring them back to life.

prisons dont seem to be getting the job done for some reason that i dont' know. whether they're too soft of criminals or too hard ( i doubt that) something should change because the current system isn't working, lets look at other countries' prisons systems and learn a lesson.

I have better things in mind for child abusers and rapists. Serial killers should get 1 appeal, then hang their asses.

Thou shall not kill.
to kill for a death is not justice
