You don't understand liberals because they express an entire thought when they communicate. Unfortunately, most people today can only tolerate the sound bite, a 30 second response to a complicated matter.
It is disturbing that you express an opinion that is shared by all too many Americans these days. Simply because a person is interested in issues that benefit society as a whole it's okay to hate that person. Liberal movements have brought desegregation to America, better education for our youth, health care for the elderly, and a number of other programs that have made a better life in America.
Intolerance, warfare, hatred of fellow man, servitude, and aristocratic rule cuts cross grain of every liberal minded person. You ask why liberals don't offer solutions to today's problems. The fact is a liberal wouldn't have taken this country to the edge of destruction in the first place. A liberals solution to the terrorists problem in the Middle East would have been to spend money on an alternative energy source and deny the terrorist the money to wage their war. If the Arabs want us the leave them alone, I think we should and just let them fight among themselves. Why in the world should we care about the numb skulls over there anyway?

Maybe because Bush is breaking things so damn fast it's *really* hard to keep proposing solutions that are ignored anyway.

Example 1: the quagmire that is Iraq gets harder and harder to solve every day. Bush broke it ... and it's going to be a b**ch for the Dems to fix it when they finally take back congress and eventually the white house. The "solution" was never to go in without world support in the first place ... but then, once the decision was made to go in unilaterally (with token forces from other countries), the "solution" was to go in with a better-prepared and armed force ... and then, once stuck with our soldiers being used for target practice, the Dems proposed and have continued to propose a *big* part of a "solution": sack the people who botched the operation (haven't you heard the Dems calling for Rumsfeld to go? Aren't you hearing that?) Bush has broken things so bad there, that the problem is just not solvable while Bush is in office. Why? Because the solution involves getting the rest of the world involved ... which isn't going to happen after our cowboy president treated the rest of the world like a bad smell.

Example 2: FEMA, which worked fine under Clinton, got demoted to a second-tier afterthought sub-department of Homeland Security, and then Bush appointed an unqualified nimrod crony to run it. After that served the people of Louisiana *so* well, the solution was to (1) sack Chertoff, and (2) restore FEMA to a separate division. Where are we so far on implementing that solution?

Example 3 (this should be a big one to anyone under 25): We had a budget surplus under Clinton ... partly luck on his part, to be president during the silicon-bubble, but nevertheless he didn't squander it on stupid excursions. Bush and the Repub. congress not only squandered it, but has dropped us into the worst deficit in history ... lowering taxes *and* increasing spending! This continues to get more "broken" every day ... to the point that anyone under 25, and *their* children and grandchildren, will be paying for the Bush years for decades in higher taxes and slashed programs.

Summary: it's hard to suggest how to fix things when the current admin. and congress are *breaking* things so efficiently.

... But oh, you're right ... liberals should exhibit the same class, bipartisanship, and silent, heart-rending, patriotic support of the President that the conservatives gave to Bill Clinton.

I admit it, it is very hard to see a way out of the war he started for no good reason. Also very hard to see a way out of the trillion dollar debt he ran up to Communist China to pay for his war and for tax cuts for billionaires. But here's the problem. Suppose you work for a company and the executives just always make bad, stupid decisions that you know are eventually going to put the company out of business. Even if you can't solve the problems the idiots on top are creating, you have an obligation to let the other workers and stockholders know that the top management needs to be replaced so stupid decisions and mistaken courses will not be taken any more. In the mean time, if you like Mr. Bush's policies, please go sign up NOW for his war. Thank you.

well maybe because he does LOTS of wrong things. i think turning iraq into a SUPER HORNET'S NEST while giving tax cuts to the rich that our children will eventually have to pay for (and thereby become poorer from the get go), says most of everything there is to point out. if you really need a person to speel our a solution it would of course look like a branch of government come the 06 elections that has the power to check this president.

Actually many of us Bush-hater dems are working to try to bring to light and right many of the atrocious things Bush has done. I personally contribute time and money to the www.moveon.org , I protest, I write letters, pray-- all the things that a regular Jane with no political or monetary clout can do.

If you bothered to turn down the Limbaugh and listen to actual news, you might learn your opposition actually HAS ideas on how to fix things. Or would the fact that Limbaugh lies to you be too much of a shock?

Tell me what you are refering to, and I'll give you my opinon on how it can be fixed, or at least how the situation can improve.

General statements that can't be answered don't really serve any point.
