my routine is:
-curl eyelashes with a metal eyelash curler, then coat upper and lower eyelashes with blach mascara (i use maybelline great lash in black)
- with a light eyeshadow colour, more on the whitish-gold side, coat your inner eyes with some eyeshadow to create an open eye look
- use an eyeshadow stick in a sparkly gold colour to line the upper lid (just on top of your eyelashes)
- apply bronzer to your cheeks and forehead
- apply a shimmery lighter colour than your bronzer to your inner cheeks, just under your eyes where its closer to your nose
- apply a bit of blush to the apples of your cheeks if you want, or else bronzer is cool

If you're talking about foundation, you need first to find the right color. Try putting a little on your jawline - if it disappears, you have the right color. After that, dot some on your face and blend it with a sponge. Always go down to the base of your neck, and always remember to get those spots under your ears that people so often miss.
Also - you can go with department store brands for most makeup without too much trouble, but when it comes to foundation it's worth it to spend the money to get the good stuff. Your skin will thank you for it.

First you should start with a cleanser then a moisturizer. You can have a more indepth skin care programs if you wanted. Then you apply your concerler if need should be one shade lighter then your skin tone or yellow. Then apply your foundation that matches your skin tone. Use short up and outward stroke to do that. Then apply a pressed powder or loose powder and then your colors. You can get more tips and request samples by email the girl at this site she's great. www.marykay.com/kfrench2006

I use foundation, then out on an eyeshadow that brings out my eyes. Maybe some clear lipgloss but most of the time I use chapstick.
