If you want to make a high income, look elsewhere. Take it from a real architect. Only a small number of architects make really good money ($70,000+). In fact, architects have the largest status-income discrepancies in the United States.
But if you really love to design, as I do, then yes of course you should go into architecture. Keep in mind it is a 5 year program and most schools only offer a 6 year program culminating in a master's degree.
Check out the AIA website to learn more. It is an exciting profession, even if it is hard to make money at it.

if you like architecture, go for it (just keep in mind its lots and lots of engineering)....i think its an awesome major but its very limited and architecture is an extremely difficult field to excel in. you have to be the best of the best.

If your looking for high income, architects make really good money. It's a really nice high income career. Visit your high school/college counselor and they can help you out deciding.

If it's a semi-random pick - try somthing more general and universal anong the lines of egineering.
