Well, it doesn't change the Bible. Whatever they wrote there, they wrote.

As far as I know, they didn't say he was married, but they also didn't say he was unmarried. Maybe he and Mary were lovers. They didn't say anything about that either, one way or the other.

So what difference does it make? None, so far as I can tell.

(BTW, you can pretty much say the same things about whether or not Mary, the mother of Jesus, was a virgin. What difference does it make, and who cares?)

I dont think it does jesus is still jesus he still did miracles he still walked on the water (if you believe that) he just might have had a kid and a wife whilst doing it and as far as it changing the bible it might change the new testamate but not the old

Also i dont think the bible would change any time soon cause people think that whatever happend between the J-man and mary was strictly holy

ps and to anyone who gets all testy from the Da Vinci Code open your minds a little you never know it may very well be true

Doesn't it change the physics books and the whole concept of time (since Newton died before Madonna was born)

If you start with an unproveable premise as a given, you can prove or disprove anything.

for instance, If you typed the above question by hitting the keys randomly, doesn't that reduce the value of it as a question

or, If God actually and in reality spoke to me today, doesn't that prove the existance of God?

Being an atheist doesn't have anything to do with something about Jesus.He was a real person, and believing in weather he is God or not is what would be the answer.If he married Mary then the prophecy's in the bible would have said that he was going to.but it doesn't.The bible is full of prophecies of where,when,who,and why he would be born and live his life.The bible is so much more than "just a book", it speaks about his birth and life and death hundreds of years before his birth.If he did marry Mary then he couldn't have been the person the bible spoke about.

If Jesus was married to Mary Magdalene it doesn't change anything. Jesus is still the Son of God. There is nothing sinful inside the marriage relationship, therefore Jesus is still the sinless Lamb of God.

It also doesn't change the Bible. There is nothing in a marriage between Jesus and Mary Magdalene that would be contrary to scripture.

That said, there is not one shread of credible evidence that such a relationship ever existed between Jesus and Mary Magdalene. There has been much speculation, but no proof whatsoever.

The "historically-correct facts" in the introduction of the Da Vinci Code is NOT correct : the Dead Sea Scrolls have absolutely nothing to do with the historical Jesus. The Dead Sea Scrolls were Jewish copies of parts of the Old Testament made about 200 years before Jesus.

Your question is a common logical fallacy called "Begging the Question", or circular reasoning: there is no factual standing for the premise because it is based on an assumption.

What do you mean by everything? How do you think it would change the Bible? What has been drilled in your head?

Would it change anything? Would Christ's sacrifice on the cross be nullified?

That being said, there's no credible evidence that Jesus was married.

no one knows whether he was or wasnt apart from jesus himself...

but if he was..yes it would change the bible, there has been many statements saying that it is true and that parts of the bible were taken out because it would cause strife..but then again there has been statements that god is a woman, that god is black, that god and jesus are many things...

we will all know the answers when the time comes :)

OH MY GOD! could we have been wrong all this time? get used to it. everyday on the news you hear about how all of a sudden its not ok to do something because its bad for your health. now were just figuring out that we've been mentally screwing ourselves also. but its so hard to admit.
