What I would like to know is:

What all is required before you go to law school? I have heard so many different things.
Can you take classes on line, and if so, where?
And any other details you may want to share.

The statutory requirement for admission to the bar (being a lawyer) varies from state to sate but generally, you get a college degree first, then you apply for an actual law school. There are lots of good law schools in different states, it's up to you which best fits your life (proximity, tuition fees, culture, etc).

A law degree is called a "J.D." (Juris Doctor) or an LLB (Bachelor of Law). The difference is that you have to make a thesis AND defend it before a panel before you graduate with a JD whereas you don't need to make a thesis for an LLB.

After you pass law school (and believe me this is not a walk in the park) and before you become a full-fledge lawyer, you have to pass the bar exams. I heard California bar exams are the most difficult. JFK Jr. took it 3 times before he passed.

After you do that you take your oath and viola! you're a lawyer.

You need to typically have:
a) Good grades from an acredited college/university
b) Be on track to graduate with a BA or BS
c) Take and have good scores on the LSAT.

A well rounded education is best. English classes will serve you well (gramer and composition). Legal classes at undergrad (business law, con law, research, etc.) might be useful in confirming if this is really what you want to study. On-line classes would not be first choice but a few offered by your accredited instituition would probably be fine.

I'm on my way to law school. I'm planning on applying in one year. KEY THING HERE: please, please don't let anyone fool you into believing you must take certain courses in college to be admitted into law school- NOT SO. Law schools look for diverse, well-rounded candidates (much like med schools). However, the admission committee does hold gpa's to be a key factor in the admission process as well as LSAT scores. Getting into law school is extremely competitive. With thousands of applicants at times fighting for a dozen seats or so. Make sure that whatever it is you decide to major in, is your thing. Don;t take hard classes if you're going to flunk them all. Then again, don't take easy classes that you can ace without a problem. Take a variety of these and make sure your gpa is competent.

here in the Philippines, before you go to the law school you must take first a four year course in college. then after a four year course in college you must take another four year course that is college of law... then after you finished college of law then you may take up the bar exam ...if you pass that ba exam lawyer already.

for one you have to take the Lsat.Exam.. and it a booger and you have to do well on it the first time, they say no ..but they do look at it..and how many times you took it......and I suggest take class in learning how to pass it...no you cannot take classes online..you have to be fulltime student well i am going by what the University of Texas in Austin Texas told my daughter..cause she to wants to become an enviromental attorney.....I think you cannot work.. and you must be very dedicated and mature enough to go ..because the counselors you talk to will ask you...and will want to know..if you are fully aware of what it entails to go to Law School...But yo u can probablty ask the school of your choice..what their criteria is..

particular, paralegals can exchange into legal experts, yet they ought to flow to regulation college. There was once some thing called "analyzing for the regulation" which you ought to do on the exterior, yet i do no longer think of you're able to try this anymore.
