Did you contemplate it until you reached an understanding of it? Did that understanding bring more questions into your mind to puzzle over?

Besides the idea of expanding space and infinity and a million other things what gets me is just the fact of being here. For me "who am I?" is the biggest metaphysical concept I've ever puzzled over. I'm aware that there is much more to us than we can imagine(we're multi-dimensional beings) but the sheer thought of just being here alive is too much for my brain to handle sometimes. There is no theory, no concept or anything in a book(someones else's insight) that begins to help me understand the mystery of me.
i haven't reached a finalunderstanding of it and maybe that is good. I sense that any idea or understanding or insights are milestones on the way but should be left behind/not clung to.
There is always more questions to puzzle over.and I wouldn't want it any other way! I feel there is no end to self-inquiry and growth and Self-discovery. Discovery of the divinity that we are inside seems endless to me. and Love. I'm finding there is no limit to the depths of love either.
another great question, Mithra.

Metaphysics is the study of the nature of the World, being and reality. It is thinking about what is Natural and Supernatural. None of these topics admit of easy answers. Some comments on them are fascinating, whilst some are ridiculous. But I learn something from all viewpoints. The most metaphysical concept I have puzzled over is the nature of being and whether there can be a God. I understand the arguments and I have thought long and hard about these matters but I cannot say that I know anything substantial. It seems that the more you learn the less you know because to analyise is to produce a never ending stream of questions or possibilities.

The question of Being as discussed by Martin heidegger would be one. Then another would be the puzzlement over String and Quantum Theory and how that works-still tinkering around with that one. Ah, for a philosopher there are many. I'll mail ya some mind bending ones if ya like. Oh-and the one of cats and bread. Bread always lands butter side down. But cats always land on their feet so what happens if i tie bread butter side up on a cats back???? Hows that for the product of 4 hard years of studying philosophy and 3 years practicing it. lol

If there is a God in some form a creator if you will, and if so what was his reason for putting everything is motion (are we just experiment to be toyed with)? If there such a being where did he/she/it come from? Still puzzling over the God thingy. And if don't believe is such a being we can run with that as well. Where does it all begin?

The universe is constantly expanding. We know this based on scientific fact. We also know that in black holes the universe is imploding. I often wonder if a black hole would lead us to some of the spiritual planes? I've also wondered about the "half" theory. Everything can be dissected. Even an atom has half an atom. What about 1/4 of an atom? 1/8th, 1/16th and on and on. It seems to me the universe is expanding constantly (continued creation), but if we look inwards there's infinity also, no?

I can understand the idea of time stretching on endlessly-there's always another hour. I cannot wrap my mind about the idea of no beginning-there had to be a time ten minutes, ten hours, ten millenia before the big bang. Would that be when " The big 'oops' " occurred? I have never been able to resolve this. I just manage to forget it periodically.

I can understand Quantum physics quite easily, but i've never quite understood the concept of love. How can I love someone so much, without them having loved me or done anything in return? (yes, i'm a dad)
