It's not my place to say a parent's choice for not letting their child wear makeup is wrong, but what's the big deal? What girl doesn't wanna look pretty? I've been seeing a lot of questions like "What age should a girl be allowed to wear makeup?". So really, what's the big deal?

well i think most parent dont want thier children too put makeup at a very young age because it can make them look way older then they are and they can look way mature in a bad way and i mean if u see a girl who's 7 wearing makeup u'll think she is a snooby person or u'll think she looks like a clown and when ur young u have young beautiful skin and u dont need to hide it and makeup can also ruin ur skin when u'll get older it's proven girls who use make get more skin problems and wrinkles when they are older than the girls who use less makeup and little girls dont really look good in makeup it just hides thier beauty and make them way more too more mature than they are suppose to be i mean most of the women who wear makeup is to hide stuff most of them they are usaully covering up something like acne problems but most girls who have beauty full skin tend not hide thier skin with makeup coz they pretty skin and they dont nned makeup

On reason is they look like they are playing dressup. They may think it makes them look older but really has the opposite effect. Most little girls don't know how to apply makeup and put on WAY to much.

Have you seen those little girl "beauty" pageants on TV with 5 years old wearing full makeup? Oh my gosh!!! They look like little toy dolls. You really have to wonder about parents...

Children have a natural beauty that shouldn't be covered up by makeup. Once they are teenagers then they can start using it.

Well it is not o.k for kids to where makeup because people now a days are nasty and a lot of pervs are around that try to look at young girls especially when there 12yrs old and they may start to grow men and maybe even women are predators on young girls an any way it looks grown. I say 14yrs old should at least where a little mascara or a little bit of color lip gloss but not to grown!!!

I think the age of 13 is a good age for wearign make up. I think anytime though some is okay for younger girls. my mother let me only wear lipstick before I was 13. I think the big deal is that parents worry that their chld will want to do more, like dress sexy, pick up boys, have sex, and become wild at such a young age.

if you let your kid wear makeup when they are like 8 for example, other kids especially boys will start liking her more, and the girl is pretty much ganna be a s***..and most mothers dont exactly want that for their daughter. it would look strange to see eyeliner, mascara, and lipstick on a 5 year old for example..it just doesnt work

I have a teenage daughter and its hard to fight reality sometimes when all the girls are doing it at her age and younger. But what I do suggest to you is that you go to your mother and ask for her help, dont say its because you just want to look pretty (that doesnt fly with a mother) ask her to help you understand how to apply the make up properly.

12 years old about the age girls want to start wearing makeup, my daughter started only with eyeliner pencil eventually mascara and then lipgloss and then eyeshadows. But first she started with shaping her eyebrows then to eyeliner. 12 is the age after that they develop there own style. But make sure you let them know if it is too much makeup or too dark.

little kids shouldn't be wearing makeup because of the purpose of makeup. The purpose of makeup is to make you attractive to others. Little kids do not need to be worrying about "sexing" themselves up or making themselves more attractive. You only get one childhood, spend it as a child.

i understand its so surprising! whilst i began out donning makeup at 13 years previous(20 now) each and every person theory it exchange into one among those extensive deal, in spite of the incontrovertible fact that it regarded somewhat stable. I wore lots lower back then with the aid of fact my pancake makeup pal motivated me :P. 9 years previous is purely too youthful although. My little cousin is 9 and If I cought her with a ambitious pink lip and heavy eyeliner on, i could clog her.

make up is an adult right of passage,on a small child younger then 15 is inappropiate. it can cause problems like: developing allergies to chemicals in make up,attracting sexual predatoars, and over all its creepy.and the young ones have no fashion sense on how to match makeup to clothes.make up is not good for the skin on young kids.

I think its important when to decide to let your child wear make up becuase you don't want to teach them that the way they look is all that matters. Young girls don't need make up and shouldn't have to worry about something like that at such a young age.
