'Liberal' is a pretty broad term, but to answer, it is probably because liberals actually think about things while conservatives would rather keep things the way they are and not think because thinking is hard! Also, I believe most conservatives are sheep and haven't really considered the issues, instead putting their trust in others.

Not all do, but you are right that there are butt talkers and i do not believe all of them are liberals. keep your eyes and ears open for them in other groups to.
