It should be a map of the US, with hotspots of UFO sightings, or maybe even just a list of states who had sightings reported.

Summer 1947



Witnesses : Pawlu Zammit and others

Location : 20 miles S of Malta

Object : Black submarine

Sound : None

Notes : Fishermen on a boat 20 miles south of Malta were raising their nets with a catch of fish when they saw an object floating on the water's surface that looked like a black submarine. The fishermen were frightened because they thought it looked more like a monster than a submarine, so they quickly pulled in their nets and started the boat's engine. At that moment a bright light from the "submarine" lit up the whole area and "little men" began running over the deck of the object. The fishermen couldn't make out much detail from their boat but whenever the light illuminated the "little men", they could see some sort of apparatus around their waist.

When the witness was asked how tall these men were, he replied, "About the size of a 10 year old boy". After a few minutes, the "little men" entered the "submarine" which began to glow so brightly that the fishermen couldn't see the object. It then submerged.

Location : B'Kara

Object : Brown cigar shaped object

Sound : None

Notes : About a dozen children were playing when they spotted a cigar shaped object (brown colour) moving at great speed. As it passed overhead it slowed down and released what looked like streamers of smoke. The children couldn't see any wires or gondola. The witness said that she had seen anti-aircraft balloons or blimps during the war so she would have recognised it if what she saw was similar. She was sure that this wasn't one due to the speed at which it moved.

Witnesses : Edward (or Richard) V. Blow & others

Location : Paola, Malta

Object : Brilliant Cylinder or Zeppelin or "golden cigar"

Sound : None

Notes : In a letter written to UFOIC (Australian UFO research group) in 1968, Edward V. Blow described an experience that occurred in Malta. He was 17 at the time:
"In August, 1947, a cylindrical object of great brilliance was observed by many persons including myself moving at great speed and at an angle of about 60 degrees from an easterly direction to the northwest. The time was around 7 pm."
Mr. Blow added, "Official report:- 1. Meteorological balloon. 2. Reflected sunlight from the fuselage of an airliner." He indicated, "This could not have been the case because there were no planes of such speed at that time." Edward or Richard, as he calls himself, in our conversation on 25/5/97 said that the sighting occurred from his village Paola. He described it as a "zeppelin" - a "golden cigar" in the setting sun. It wasn't travelling at at devastating speed but was moving quite quickly.
