I have a desire to learn how MMO engines are made and work and the science behind it. I'm more interested in FPS type engines, but I'm sure that in theory most MMO engines share some of the same idealogy.

Is there a website or a good book on how MMOs work, the more indepth the better.

Ive never heard of a book on that one subject. I am a computer science major myself and most of the math that is involved in MMOs you can actually understand and come up with yourself after learning the basics of computer programming. So it wouldnt hurt to get a book on on the basics of computer programming Thats for the math, the graphics are a whole other story. I would try making a search on amazon.com for a book about how MMOs are made or better yet how 3d engines are made(you seem to want to really know about this). You seem to have interest in computer programming. Keep it up. It's a rewarding field.
