Not really sure what I'm doing here, so I'll put them in order of preferred watching:
Batman Begins: This is a wonderfully shot and incredibly in depth retelling of Batman's origin and his first year of fighting crime. The characters are incredibly well portrayed, and the writing is strong and very faithful to the source material.
Batman (1989): Tim Burton did a fantastic job recreating Batman for the late 20th century audiances. This movie not only had the best Joker ever seen in Jack Nicolson, but also showed us that Michael Keaton can be more than a comic actor and has some very strong pressence about him.
Batman Returns: A great continuation of the work that both Burton and Keaton did on the first movie together, and who can resist Michelle as Catwoman.
Batman Forever: Val Kilmer was a good Bruce Wayne, but sucked as Batman. Who lets Joel Schumacher make movies?
Batman and Robin: Again, who lets Schumacher make movies? The man single handedly destroyed a franchise with this piece of garbage. The focus has become the villains, and there is no development whatsoever of any characters at all. This movie goes from sight gag to one liner with narry a bit of plot to hold it together. On a good note, I did like Clooney's Batman much more than Kilmer's, too bad they both had crap to work with.

When they said Batman Begins, I thought 'oh, no, no another Batman movie', but as it turned out it was the best one ever!

1. Batman Begins
2. Batman Returns
3. Batman
The other two are good but a little on the goofy side.

Batman begins was by far the best I have seen. So much more "Adult". Great action, better supporting cast and overall direction. I was so weary of seeing another batman flick, but I was so much more pleasantly surprised.
