Of course I think girls should be exposed to all options instead of fashion or magazines which promote anorexia, fame and fortune. So I recomend this magazine which they say is "the magazine for every girl who wants her voice heard and her dreams taken seriously

Well it depends on what you let your 13 year old daughter to look at and read about? If you don't mind her reading about kissing and sex tips and all that then seventeen and cosmopoltion. If you want her to stay with just hearing news about the stars and cool things and style that is in fashion and stories about the younger actors and actresses then bop and the usually thinner magazines will work good for her! So it all depends on what you want her too look at and read about! The Nickolodean magazine is also good and talks about recent movies and updates that are happening!

It all depends on her interests. My personal favorite at 13 was GL (girl's life). It has fashion and makeup tips, quizzes, some serious articles, exercise tips, tips on crushes, advice columns, etc. and everything is appropriate for younger teens. Seventeen, Teen Vogue, and Cosmogirl are also REALLY great and they have some more serious articles too but they might be better for her in a couple years. Not that anything TOO bad is in them.

If she is more interested in celebrities then J-12 and YM are better, but they don't have much fashion in them.

At 13 I would read Cosmo Girl and Seventeen. Teen People go to much into celebrities lifes and it just gets annoying. Like those girls really care who Britney Spear's child's name or if Orlando Bloom is dating? Cosmo Girl and seventeen tell you about hair tips, sking, tips, life tips, boy tips and are not corruptive in any way then when she turns alot older. It's not like she can read Cosmopolitan yet. Good luck!

It really depends on what she likes. But if she likes black stars, and music. I would say you should go with WORD UP MAGAZINE. There's nothing negative in it. Everything any teen girl could want to know about the entertainment world, and the stars that they know the most.

Playgirl?

Ok...I'm just kidding.

17 magazine is always a good one for a teen girl between 13-18 years.

probably Girls Life if she's a younger teen...then when she gets older you could introduce her to magazines like Seventeen and Ellegirl.
