At 12 years old, there's really nothing to worry about if you haven't been sexually active, unless you notice other things going on too - like major cramps, or discharge. My daughter had her period for over three years before it became really regular.

Because of your age i wouldnt worry too much about irregular periods. You are still young and they wont be regular until your body gets adjusted to your personal hormone levels.
Stress can play a big role in a missed period. So can significant weight loss or gain.
Just relax and take it easy. It will come when it comes!

Irregularity is average. Not having a interval for two yrs isn't average. Your health care professional does now not look to be taking your obstacle significantly. Get a brand new health care professional. If you're now not seeing a board licensed OBGYN I could advocate that, alternatively than a MD or DO. OBGYN truthfully focus on womens wellness. Look smarty; OB/ GYN is an abbreviation for obstetrician/ gynecologist. An OB/ GYN's process is to display for targeted illnesses adding cancers of the breasts, cervix, uterus, vagina and surrounding discipline. Another principal aspect of an OB/ GYN's process is to diagnose and deal with feminine reproductive wellness disorders that incorporate sexually transmitted illnesses, menstrual disorders, illnesses of the breasts, uterus, fallopian tubes, and ovaries, as good as fertility disorders, and premenstrual syndrome and menopause similar disorders. I haven't any thought in which you received the thought they wont see you if you're now not 18 however that's a load of BS. Every lady will have to make an appointment with their OB/ GYN each and every 12 months establishing on the age of 21, or inside 3 years of sexual sex if beneath age 21. It's particularly principal to go back for annual Pap smears and pelvic assessments consistent with character strategies by way of your OB/ GYN. Also, seek advice your OB/ GYN every time you revel in some thing that's now not average for you or if have any questions approximately your reproductive wellness.

You can miss periods due to stress, or excessive exercising (a lot of female athletes who really push themselves have this problem)or under-eating, so make sure you are getting enough food.

However, periods do take a while to become regular in the first years of puberty, even if you have been having them regularly for a few months.

If you are worried, talk to your doctor.

You are still very young.. when i was your age my peroids were every 20 days too. But once i got a lil bit older they started to regulate.... I would think that is whats happening to you. If you are worried talk to your mom about this or your family doctor.. maybe they can give you a bit more comfort.

as long as you haven't had sex with anyone ,there is nothing more than your body adjusting to it's time clock going on here . go to your library either at school or the town library and get yourself some books on puberty and sex education .don't worry about anything at all except having a great life and doing what you know is right .

It could be stress if you are worried about the start of school. I wouldn't worry though b/c you aren't sexually active. Your young your body is probably still trying to regulate your cycle.
