MORMONS LDS YOUTH! PLZ answer THIS: .....?

Question

MORMON STAKE YOUTH DANCE, have any ideas for decorating a stake back to school dance?
i need to know what i can do for our stake. give ideas for:
-food
-music
-decorations
-prizes
-etc.

The Hawaiin theme is always awesome!! For food you can have a fruit dish and cotton candy and hawaiin punch, for music you can have just the regular youth dance music, but throw in a couple of hawaiin songs, for games you can have limbo and jump rope (i know jump rope sounds a little out there, but i know it would be fun and they would love it!) and for prizes you could have pooka shells and hawaiin food like chocolate macadamia nuts, hope i helped some!
PS i'm a LDS youth and i know the dance will be great as long as you get an awesome DJ and just let them have fun!

I'm not a youth but I am LDS. I think since it will still be warm, you could do a "Last Beach Party of the Season" theme and have games you would play on the beach like limbo or stuff like that. Have snow cones for the treats, or some kind of cool ice cream combinations like root beer or raspberry soda floats. You could use "Beach Boys" music, make a grass hut for the food, etc. You could give out a big shark or fish inflatable toy or stuffed animal to the people who danced the most often.

I think it may be a good idea to check with your Bishop and/or Stake president for guidelines for using the Stake Center for that. I hope you have help and are not going to do all this yourself. Good luck and go with God.

MMM, well it's summer, so I'd go with a summer time theme, like the beach. You could do a whole pacific island theme with hulas, grass skirts, pineapples, ham, leis, coconuts, etc.
