Any exercise or similar regime which emphasizes stretching, controlled breathing and light meditation, is always gonna be good for your system.

Yoga is useful in that sense, but it is just one of many things you can do, to enhance your health or help you perform better in sports.

Depends what kind of classes you go to. The commercialized kind is crap. You know...with the lady in the 80's aerobic suit (joke). I went to very private classes with 2 or 3 people in it, my teacher was a lady who'd been doing Yoga for over 30 years. On a spiritual level it's very relaxing and healing, and it really helps you recognize yourself and your body.

it is good for you...it is very scientific and targets many of the key internal organs (like lever, pancreas, stomach etc.) through specific postures. Yoga also regularizes our breathing. It is a complete exercise regimen. The regular practice of yoga is beneficial both to body and mind.
