Theft is the taking of something that belongs to someone else with the intention of permanently depriving him of the ownership of it or the use of it.

Robbery is theft by force or intimidation.

Other types of theft: burglary, shoplifting, theft by deception, identity theft, copyright and patent theft, looting, embezzlement, gas drive off, dine and dash, mortgage fraud. And don't forget, slavery (theft of your freedom), murder (theft of your life.)

As many things as there are to steal, there are at least that many ways to steal them.
