Has any one been to paphos, can they recommend things to do during day and , restaurants and bars to go to at night.

Byzantine Museum – This museum highlights the history of the area from the twelfth through the eighteenth century, exploring the influence of Byzantine rule on Paphos culture.
Churches and Basilicas – These make up a huge portion of the history of Paphos. Some of the ones which should not be missed include the Theoskepasti Church which is an example of a twentieth century religious building in Paphos, the Panayia Chrysopolitissa Church which highlights the Byzantine religious period and the Limeniotissa Basilica which dates al the way back to the fifth century.
Ethnographical Museum – This museum outlines the history of the people of the area, beginning in ancient times and continuing all the way through to the people making local history there today.
Paphos District Archaeological Museum – This museum is the one offering the most extensive historical exploration of the land surrounding Paphos.
Night Life:
Paphos is enjoyed for its beaches during the day and its bars at night. The street to know at night is Agiou Antoniou, known locally as either Bar Street or Nightlife Street. Visitors interested in enjoying the night side of the area should check out any of the following locations:

Bubbles is the bar and dance club favored by the ladies who enjoy being flattered by the adorable bar staff and the men who enjoy flirting with the ladies drawn there.
Outback is a local sports bars which also offers a karaoke night.
Rainbow Disco is the place to go for dancing when everything else is starting to close down. This is popular among the younger adult crowd.
Robin Hood is a dance club which has a different type of music each night of the week to meet everyone’s dancing needs.

Robin Hood pub, is at the Bar street decorated similar to an English Pub
is a popular place. Beers sold are various from Guinness to Beck's and Stella Artois. Music is trendy with the latest hits.


Mediterranean Restaurant, is a typical Cyprus taverna offering cyprus food such as the Clay oven Kleftiko, the Mousakka and other local dishes. Combining eating at this restaurant and then going out in the "Bar-Street" is ideal as it is located on the starting end of the road where all the clubs and the Bars are located.


Captain's View Restaurant, located on the sea-front is on the first floor overlooking the sea of the Paphos Harbour is a fairly good restaurant offering fish as much close as it can be to fresh. Combining the fish sold for fresh on the promenade next to the castle the fish offered at this restaurant would be just caught from the sea.



Red Rose Pub, at the back of the sea-promenade road this pub is popular for it's snacks and football events. Various beers offered which most are from the UK.


Pizza express, a nice Italian restaurant that cooks for the clients much more than just pizza. Located inside a small cluster of shops into the Paphos harbour road the restaurant offers good choice of food in adventurous tastes.

Coral Bay Area


Coral Breeze Restaurant, located on the Coral Bay road is the oldest restaurant on that street , family run, it offers international cuisine but mainly cyprus food and steaks specialists.



Kleo's Bar, is a popular informal bar that also serves light meals such as salads and burgers. Music is modern and up to date at insight of the pub air conditioned that serves as a club in addition to the open-air bar located outside. House specialties is several Cocktails.



Kikkos Bar, an informal bar with much of local character, the popular beer of Keo is flowing continually from the pumps and there is general friendly and informal atmosphere.
