I think they are one of the best bands at the moment, but all my friends get turned off by the singer claudio sanchez' voice. What do you think of them?

It is good to see a band with the courage of their convictions to do new things.
Coheed and Cambria has released three studio albums, one live album, and various special-edition re-releases. Their albums are concept albums, telling different parts of the same story. So far, there are a planned five albums for The Amory Wars, the current storyline running through the songs. To date, three studio albums have been released: The Second Stage Turbine Blade (2002), In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth: 3 (2003), and Good Apollo I'm Burning Star IV, Volume One: From Fear Through the Eyes of Madness (2005).
These albums make up the second, third, and half of the fourth parts of the four-part saga of Coheed and Cambria, respectively. The albums are being released out of sequence; the second part was released first, and the first part will be released last. Good Apollo I'm Burning Star IV, Volume One is the first half of a two-part conclusion to the saga, which may or may not be followed by the story's introduction. The prequel is still undecided.
I like Claudio Chavez's voice. It is remiscent of Geddy Lee of Rush. He also is in a side project called The Prize Fighter Inferno, which has released three songs, including "The Missing McCloud Boys" (formerly entitled I'm Going To Kill You). Sanchez also appears on his bandmate Travis' side project dubbed Fire Deuce (backing vocals) which released Children of the Deuce in 2005, an 80s style rock album reminiscent of Iron Maiden - hence the album's title.

i love coheed and cambria
they're great,....and claudio's voice clashed with his appearence is pretty amusing
