It may help juveniles to survive in a tribal situation where boys are eliminated by mature males because they are potential competitors for females. This reduces the differences between boys and girls to only genitalia, which can be more easily hidden than nipples.
In many "packing" mammals such as lions and wolves, baby animals are often killed when a new pack leader takes over the pack and seeks to put the females in season. But in primates, like man, there is no "alpha" males, but since the birth ratio is 50/50 between males/females, it creates a lot of competition for females, which can be reduced through infanticide.

for all the reasons women have them. And yes I also mean for breastfeeding. Most people don't know that men can breastfeed--including most men, but it's true. Although it is only a very smal amount of milk produced.

some of these answers are pretty out there but half right
all embreyos start out as gender neutral not as female when the male fertilizes the egg it is up to the sperm to decide what sex the embreyo becomes all male and female have x and y chromosones male have more of one type and odviously the female more of the other some embreyos are born with equal and this is where hermefortites come from and testicals and overarys are not the same vast differences not enough time to get in to it

Because we all start out life in the womb as females. It's not intil later that the code kicks in and the same tissue that forms the female reproductive organs instead forms the male reproductive organs.

b/c when u are conceived in ur mummys tummy u are a gurl...then when dad puts his part in u either get an x or y chromosome n then u become a gurl or boy...a guys balls are the same as a gurls ovaries ...they just fell out of him along with his dick
