Yes it does work. I used the tension headache Head on after a very hard day at work, my head felt like my brain was swelling. So I used Head on, liberally on my forehead, it tingled at first and then within 20 mins my headache was gone, it crept back after a few hours so I used it again and went to bed happy.

The information I have read says it does the same whether you apply directly to forehead or the cat.
Remember, the commercials don't actually say what it does...because, it actually doesn't.

I don't know if it does but I wouldn't use it anyway because their commercial is so annoying.
