What, are you one of those Holocaust deniers who wants to act like Jewish people (among others) didn't really get a raw deal? Yes, millions of people got killed in gulags, but it wasn't a concerted effort to get rid of an entire group of people. When you look at the percentage of Jews killed vs. Russians (who were Christians/dissidents/criminals/whoever) then no, the Holocaust was far more brutal and discriminatory. The Holocaust doesn't "pale in comparison" to anything. Period. If this is some kind of contest in your mind, then the Holocaust was the worst atrocity against any group of people in history.

I admit I don't know anything about Soviet Gulags, but I can't imagine ANYTHING that could pale the atrocity of the Holocaust! Also...it's important not to compare pain or suffering. All hate crimes, killings and torture are a horrid sin...how can you say one is more horrible or painful than another?

Better compare that to the 5 billion offspring of Indians that were aborted as a result of the massacre of Indians by European settlers throughout North, Central, and South America?

um, christianity is not a race, so you can't compare. it's like extinction of all the short fish; it's not like salmon got wiped out, only the short ones.
