Also is there any online resorses on how to read codes for this car?

It depends on which computer you are looking for, as the vehicle has several. The more common ones are as follows; The engine computer is located under the air cleaner housing. The transmission computer is located on the driver side inner fender. The body computer is located under the passenger side of the dashboard. The ABS controller is mounted just forward of the master cylinder. The only way to extract fault codes from this vehicle is with a scan tool. As stated above, AutoZone will do it for free. Some shops will also do free scans, but ask first. HTH!! Good Luck!!

btw, try turning the key on-off-on-off-on within five seconds

most older chryslers like that had a built in diagnostic system that will flash the check engine light in patterns for codes.

i.e.
flash-flash pause flash-flash-flash = 23

then you should be able to find a code reference on allpar.com

btw, I don't know if this works on that model, but it's worked on EVERY mopar I've owned until 1996

well most likely on that vehicle its under the hood but to read codes, yes autozone will do it for free. also chrysler had a trick but it might not work on that year

computer (ecu) is usually on the passanger side kick panel area

and to read codes get a scanner... usually autozone rents them free
