She has been lucky so far. both are in raw meat and every bite of under cooked food or raw puts a risk there. Did you know a family of 4 can eat a fish and only one person gets salmonella? Yep that unlucky sole got the germs and the rest of the fish was fine.

She's lucky, kind of like people who never wear a seatbelt but have never been in an accident. The odds are against getting in an accident on any given trip, and the odds are against getting E Coli or something else nasty from any given piece of raw or undercooked meat. But the odds are also that at some point it will be your unlucky day.
