Apply in your own name seperately from your husband. Put ads on www.craigslist.com and any other free classifieds that you can find, explaining the situation so that a property owner who can help you will know whats going on and can contact you. Crying won't help anything. Pull yourself together and take positive action to correct the situations. Seek out solutions with that energy. You're also setting up the emotional state of your unborn child so stop it. Get to work.

I am so sorry to hear this. Most complexes do credit/eviction checks. I don't know how it is in Orlando, but here in Connecticut there are a lot of landlords that are too cheap to do one. Check in the newspaper for private residences, and make some phone calls. I wouldn't specifically ask if they do a credit check, but I would ask what are the conditions of renting the apartment. Their answer should include a credit check if one is going to be done.

Most rentals will do credit checks but that doesn't mean they won't give you an apartment. If they are desparate enough to fill the residence (and most are fi there are alot of vacancies) you'll get an apartment. The big down side is that your security deposit will likely be a two or threee months worth of rent because you are a high risk.

contact your local Red Cross or Salvation Army, they will help in the short term. Contact a real estate agent or apartment finder,
explain it too them, they will know how to proceed from there.

Ask your parents for help or move to Alabama for now because they have fairly cheap homes here. Sorry to here that. Or you could ask a community center or church home for help.
