Here's how my dream went:

I'm in my bed, and the room is pitch black, except for the moon light through the window. It's raining outside.

I look out the window, and a cloaked figure is standing outside of it.

The figure moves, and I can't see what it's doing anymore. I hear a door open, then slam.

I hear a high-pitched scream on the other side of the house.

Then, the door to my bedroom opens and the light is let in. The cloaked figure is standing there.

The figure slowly walks toward my bed. I try to scream, but I can't. It has a knife in its hand.

It gets to my bedside, slowly raises the knife above my head, and just before it's about to jam into my head--

I wake up. (For real.)

I would appreciate it if nobody makes a joke of it. It's actually a very scary dream.

Please interpret it. It's a very confusing dream and it scared the hell out of me when I woke up.

Let me analyze your dream

Cloaked figure = your fear, insecurity

First of all, the summary of your dream is about privacy being invaded. You are in lack of the sense of security. The whole process of your dream is about a cloaked figure which you projected in dream, actually that is a your fear, you sub-conscience. You probably do not realize this in real life, but deep down, you don't feel secure about something. It could be your material possession, or your belongings.

I could be wrong, but that is how I see from your dream

Dreams are quite individual, meaning that the interpretation of a dream requires ones own symbolic useage and identification. Dark always means sinister, scary, and often dangerous... primarily since there is no light, there is a lot of unknown, and we are all afraid of the unknown... in any form.

You hear a "door open, then slam."....while in your bed [may we assume in a place "on the other side of the house"? This is
possessing extraordinary hearing, is it not? Or, is it simply putting names to actions that are assumed to be taking place?

The question I would ask, at this point ...were I hearing this from you would be.... what are you experiencing by way of emotion?

I get one of two things, or perhaps a combination of essentially one thing, and a bit of another. That is, I get a sense of detachment in reading what you have posted. This means that either you are in considerable denial regarding the events of the dream, or your dream is a way in which your MIND is working out "venting" the energy of some other fear that your MIND has not even shared with you.... and therefore, your dream was more like watching a movie than experiencing a possible reality.

This is not to suggest that the dream was not scary, I'm sure it was. I'm simply suggesting that there is an emotionality lacking in the articulation that ought to be there.... if the dream was factually based. I would therefore suggest that the dream is probably a way in which your MIND is "venting" other fearful matters... perhaps in some way related.... even to similar events of your childhood?

Take what precautions you can and assure yourself that you are as secure as you can be, and then focus rather intently on a bit of reality that has always been beneficial to me. I believe absolutely in Fate Karma, and thus, nothing can happen to me that is not ordained to happen... and I also know absolutely that nothing whatsoever can happen to my Soul. Fear is interesting to play with, but it is not an issue of any consequence to the Soul.
Peace

The cloak figure represents the dark side. You may be experiencing a spiritual battle. The light that you see is of the light side. We are talking on a deep subject here and you have every right to be scared of your dream. Just remember God is the light and Satin is of the dark side. Both Satin and God are fighting over your soul. I know from the time I was 9 years old until I was in my 20s even though I accepted Jesus into my heart I was tormented for years with the spiritual battles such as yours. You may e-mail me some time if you like I will explain it deeper then this if I need to. I sympathize with you. I was there one time too.

You begin resting in darkness. Then you see life through the window(windows are the eyes of your house)but it is hidden from you. Then you hear the scream of birth and the life that is hidden from you enters the room and brings light. The life wants to penetrate your head to destroy your current mind which has been lying in the darkness. This dream is telling you that your current minds view of the world is not content and the fear the cloaked figure brought to you is to wake you up to do what you have to do and what you have the capacity to do.I think that from this dream I would suggest you begin to educate yourself in a way that exercises your brain with more difficult studies rather than what you have been doing up to now.I hope that this helps.Sleep well

If we are going to interpret your dream based on Freudian psychology, my most educated guess is that you have deeply repressed fear of sexual intercourse. The following images in your dream with corresponding representations are as follows:

The dark room with only moonlight and rain outside symbolize your uncertainty about sex and the inadequate and vague knowledge you have about the subject of sex.

The things you hear outside of your bedroom is sexual foreplay and intercourse and the dark figure is basically an unkown lover whome you're very excited about consumating a sexual relationship with but you are deeply terrified of it as well becuase of many unanswered questions on sex.

The knife which was about to be thrusted into yur head is the male phallic symbol. Your mind represented it as a knife because you are very much terrified of have a man into your life, more specifically a penis entering your vagina.

That's as close as I can get. Other possibilities could be your psychic or that you've been watching too many horror movies.

Hope this helps. Oh, the best solution for that is not to overly think about it.

Peace.

Firstly, what does the dream mean to you, besides fear? What in your life are you afraid of at this time? Is it related to someone in your house, if there is such a fear?

Also, as a remedy, change the outcome of the dream in your head (right when you wake up.) You can turn a frown upside down if you really want to (had to get that cliche in.)

Don't be afraid, you are in control. Good nite.:-)

Usually dreams are your brain replaying the day's or previous events. If you saw a horror flick, read a story or if something else made you think even vaguely of getting a knife getting stuck into your head, it could trigger that nightmare.

well, some dreams really give us prescient warning about what will happen. For example, i dreamt that i was shot and i dreamt it for 3 times. few days after i dreamt, i experience terrible experience with my Love (we quarrel). the same goes with the second dream and third dream, all lead to quarrel.

What i can warn you is you must be careful by not going home very late, be patience(something will happen if you are not patience), be open-minded, be cautious with everything you do.

however, bad dream does not necessarily result in bad experience in life.

to sum up, do not worry too much and be more cautious with everything you do or you will do.

btw, tell me few weeks after you dreamt this! i also want to know what will happen to you. I hope it is not the bad luck.

i really wish that your bad dream is reversal with the reality ^_^
God Bless!

To make the dream go away you need to look deep into your self and find out who or what your afraid of. Once you do that the dream will go away... good luck!!!
