well several problems come to mind. first GM uses a signal from the oil pressure switch to signal the fuel pump to continue running, make sure that is in working order. also check the fuel filter. i am assuming you have a 2.5 litre engine in that vehicle because the 2.8 litre v6's were port injected.
if you have no oil pressure the engine wont keep running because the computor doesnt sense oil pressure and shuts the fuel off. check those 2 items first

First I would check the location of the fuel line. Sounds like vapor lock. If the fuel line is too close to excess heat the fuel will vaporize in the line, the line has to be moved and a type of heatshield must be installed between the heat problem and the fuel line, in other words you need to make a good air space between the heat sorce and the fuel line. when your car is warmed up and not running try turning off the key for a few seconds, then turn it back on and listen for the fuel pump. it should come on for a second or 2. they are famous for stopping after warmup. if it isn't running you need to check for voltage at the pump. if you have voltage and the pump isn't running, the pump is the problem. if it is the 2.5 4 cylinder it is tied to the oil pressure sending unit and the computer. not sure about the v6.
