I love the irony of using Yahoo Answers for this question. Were you able to pick up all of the brain bits already? If so, then be sure to use cold water; warm or hot will just set the stain.

And never, never let anyone shine a blacklight on your rug.

I'll send over some flying monkeys to pick up the body. They'll know where to drop it.

Get the spot wet with cold water, then sprinkle meat tenderizer on it generously. Let it sit for a while, then scrub it up with a stiff brush. The tenderizer breaks down the protiens in the blood.

According to AskMen.com, here is how to get blood out of clothes; it should work on carpet too.

Blood
So you're a tough guy, huh? Well, if you're still conscious, rinse your garment thoroughly in cold water, then soak it with a dash of ammonia for 20 minutes. Use stain remover to spray the area and soak it for several hours if necessary. You should then launder the garment with an enzyme detergent. If the stain persists, spray your garment with hydrogen peroxide, let it soak for a few minutes and then launder again.

The same way you get all blood out of the carpet, hamster isn't any different than Sith.

Try some Resolve Spot Magic. I had a dog and two cats vomiting from the heat all day yesterday and it got all the stains out the of the carpets, even the one I didn't see until this morning.

So...did little Hammy get loose and little Kitty "play" with it?

I wont ask. If you've tried everything else, try gasoline (gets grease out of clothes) or hairspray (gets sharpie off of things). But be safe with either one, and dont use fire around them. Although it would be interesting, no one wants to read about someone who set their house on fire while trying to get hamster blood off of the carpet.

The same way you would any other kind of blood. Try cold water and an enzyme based cleaner I think.

you can pour old motor oil on top of the blood and it will look like an oil stain. or you can use scissors. the choice is up to you.

Rub cat poop into the stain and then bring the dog in, that stubborn stain will disappear in no time.
