Isn't what the IDF is doing right now considered terrorism?

This describes what Israel is doing. Stop killing innocent civilians you Israeli terrorists! Am I suppost to feel sympathy for Israel after it invaded Lebanon in 1982 and massacred thoasands of innocent people? Hezballah wouldn't have formed in the first place if it wasn't for Israel's attacks on Lebanon. So I blame Israel.

Centurion- You idiot, hezballah didn't form until Israel invaded Lebanon. How did they attack Israel first when they didn't even form yet? It seems that if you don't support Israel then your anti-semetic. A lot of rabbis don't support Israel.

In 1982 the Israeli massacred more then 6000 civilian Palestinian refugees in a refugee camp near Beirut! The commanding officer of that "mission" was general Ariel Sharon! He personally led the massacre to - in true Hitler-style - teach the Palestinians a lesson!!!

If somebody does not remember what led to the escalation of today: The Israeli are keeping more then 1000 Palestinians in their jails without any court hearing! Therefore the Hezbollah attacked a MILITARY (!!!) camp of the Israeli Army and killed 6 soldiers and took 2 soldiers as prisoners. Their intention was that the prisoners should be exchanged against Palestinian prisoners jailed by the Israeli.
But the Israeli rejected such an exchange. Instead, like in 1982, they started killing totally innocent citizens of Lebanon by the hundreds, in the meantime maybe already more than 1000! These persons, who were murdered by the Israeli were NOT members of the Hezbollah, but totally innocent people, many of them children, including 4 members of the United Nations!
If, what Israel is performing there, is not state terrorism, then what is?

You could also make the argument that Hezbollah is hiding within the crowd, and that some of these civilians have AK-47 assault rifles, etc. as shown in a report on Yahoo.com by Kevin in the Hot Zone. Collateral damage happens in war. Israel accepts that the losses are terrible for civilians, but that they are doing their best to target Hezbollah locations. If the IDF started deliberately killing civilians on the ground with tanks and infantry in large numbers, than that could be counted as terrorism, but Israel is restraining itself from these actions. Angry Sue, if you think that way, then why don't you go over there and see how BOTH sides act in the way they go about their actions.

You are showing how uninformed you are. Israel is responding to an attack by Hezbollah on them. What you are not saying is that you are a Jew hater who wants Israel destroyed because that is a popular thing to say within your little group of liberals. Since you hate Israel so much, you must be a terrorist too!

Back in the 80's, it was the same thing. Hezbollah attacked Israel first and they responded. Hezbollah formed for the precise reason of destroying Israel. If you think otherwise, you are stupid and it is showing.

You didn't take your statement far enough. Why did Israel attack Lebanon? It was to eliminate the PLO that were advocates of the destruction of Israel. The same group who was responsible a year later for the truck bombing death of the barracks in Beirut housing 241 US Marines.

Not at all. Lebanon needs to be cured of Hezbollah, and if their government was not afraid of Hezbollah a lot more than of the Israel, Lebanese Army would probably fight together with IDF to kick Hezbollah out of the country.

The IDF is not intentionally killing civilians so grow up. The terrorists in Lebanon are hiding among the innocents (not so innocent actually since they're welcome there). When then cowards fire rockets into another country and then hide among the Lebanese they become responsible for their deaths.
