You can farm instances pretty well once you hit 40. Start with the Deadmines, and work your way up as you level.

Running instances in general is a good way to make money, in general, because of all the drops and quest money.

You just need to keep plugging at it. Some classes accumulate more then others, like paladins and warlocks, because they don't pay for their mounts. Also, warlocks can make decent money summoning for tips.

You can work the Auction House as well. There is an add on (I forget what it's called) that shows you the going rate of items at the AH. Because it causes huge lag on your toon, I'd only use it on a AH mule. Just send all your BoE greens and stuff to that mule, and use the add on to decide what to AH and what to vendor.

My suggetstion is get to 60 ASAP before farming for gold or silver.

1. you are indirectly getting more gold from instances/quests from doing hire level quests.

2. As a 60, run SM boss runs and pick up only blues or better or grey 2 handed weapons. Ulda is also not as good but still works, just dont do last boss. You can also convert the silk to bandages and trade for war efforts or sell vendor. 40s a stack i think.

3. Go to deadwind pass or any other humanoid place and farm for runecloth/also drops gold and possible Darkmoon cards or rare chance on epics.

4. I like to do reputation runs while doing it so I kill undead in EPL or fuhrlogs in felwood.

depending on your class, you can run SM faster with a tank if your a healer or if ur the tank, get a healer.

mainly depends on ur level the 2 main ways are buying and reselling in the AH u can make alot of money this way buy something if u see it at a ridiculously low price and sell it again or wait for when the server is going down for maintainance and bid on some items otherwise...... 1-10 ur main source of income is selling trash items 10-20 here is where u feel the pinch ur skills cost too much and well there is no souce of income cause ur items u create are too cheap to sell and ur skills cost alot my main advice is get out of this level gap fast or u can go fishing get ur skill up a bit and head to areas where u can catch firefin sappers and oily blackmouths ( this process is time consuming) 20-30 fishing and at last ur getting some items from ur professions that u can sell 30-40 congratulations if ur a hunter u are now high enough to solo the whole of newbie instances. its not the items u want from these instances but the cloth that u can then sell. 40 will probly drain u totally becasue of ur mount 40-50 u will be getting some sweet money from almost anywhere fishing will become usless here 50-60 trust me dont bother making money in these levels as soon as u hit outlands the money from everything will increase like crazy 60-70 MOTES i made 1000 gold in one day from motes if ur a enge and make a ZAptrottle mote extractor u can farm motes from anywhere :D

the best way to grind gold without your professions is Instance farming.
no mather what lvl you are, there are always instances you can do (deathmines, Gnomeragan, ...., strat, scholo, DM, UBRS) just empty your bags as much as possible and loot everything (yes even grey loot) at the end of the instance.. just sell the grey loot to a vendor and try to sell the green/blue BoE items.

if you are 60 already :
essense farming (living, air, water, ...)
dukes in Silithus
...
are very nice money collectors :-)

good luck

depends on lvl. or if you have bored friends.

best way to do so for random class, like everyone said is Instance farming. gets annoying though.

high lvl instance rush from a friend, he rushed through killing everything you stay behind pick up everything the drops not just colored (if you have enough slots) then sell sell sell

with out proffession... farming takes a long long long time.

Besides professions, create a Night Elf, strip naked, and dance.

it depends on the level but just pick up a stack of cloth and sell it at the auction house or just keep running the dead mines and looting everything that drops

First of all, you need to be a skinner/miner. Then sell your skinning and mining stuff on the AH.
