I had a Grand Marquis when I was teenager. It was the BEST. Huge trunk (it was a 77) with some holes in it which was great for filling with ice and putting beer in. ...not to mention a back seat bigger than most living room sofas.

However, I don't know if I'd go with that kind of car today. First of all, it is big and RWD. If you live where you have snowfall, RWD takes a bit more skill. Secondly if your teenager is buying fuel, he or she would have to buy a lot to keep an old Grand Marquis running. Bigger is not always a better crasher. ...and those old sleds can pick up quite a bit of speed.

A Dodge Neon is a very good car for a teenager. They have a little bit of style, and they're cheap cheap cheap. A Pontiac Grand Am is another good choice. Import makes (regardless if they're actually built here) tend to be a bit more expensive to repair. An early Ford Contour or Mercury Mistique would also be a good choice, probably the best cars Ford has ever sold... just a little over priced for this market.

Hell yeah! When I was 16 I bought my grandfather's 1976 Mercury Grand Marquis. I went through about $40 a week in gas when gas was $.99 a gallon. I have a lot of great memories in that car.

Grand Marquis is a good car, best riding of Ford, good milage, but not many young people like them, because most people who drive them are old. I have been driving a large car since I was 19.

The bigger the car the more people that can be put in the car and that equalls more chances of getting into trouble. Also, it has a big back seat, enough said. A good used Honda Civic is a great teen-ager car.

If the teenager is new to driving it might be too big. Bigger cars are harder to maneuver into tight parking spots and other tight situations. I'd look for something smaller for a teen.

Yeah, I would say so. They may not love it or anything. They aren't too bad on gas considering their size. They will get better gas mileage than most small SUV's. They are also reliable in general.

I would. My dad has one. It's supposedly an old person car but i think it's actually pretty sweet. My dad only has compliments for it and I have no problems with it. We got it used.

A bicycle is a "good teenager car."

they are a good dependable car but they aren't good on gas, they are a family car they ride smooth and handle decent and they are safe because they are so big but the only down fall is they aren't good on gas.
