Not in our house. Years and years ago, my wife had a low-level job in a small office, and was expected to change the rolls in the unisex bathroom. She hated it, and vented about it more than once before finally getting a better job.

Since then I've made a point of being Toilet Paper Man. If I see it getting a little low, I'll actually throw away the last four sheets and put on a new roll. It's like when Wesley tells Buttercup "As you wish" in "The Princess Bride" -- it's like a secret little way of saying "I love you."

LOL
Some ppl in the family are capable of pulling out a new roll, and sitting it above the toilet paper holder, but as for removing the tube and replacing it with a new one?!!?! Nope.
And we don't even have the old fashioned ones where the spring falls out,I can kinda understand that one.
It must fall under the category of natural mommy instinct, somewhere hidden in the brain next to the eyes in the back of our heads. Personally, I think it is a ploy to make us feel needed.

It must be the curse of being the mom! I have the same problem here. The funny part is that recently my 4 year old son has started changing the roll from time to time. I don't know why, but he noticed one day that it was out and I witnessed him change the roll. It doesn't happen often, and the curse of being mom having to change the roll is most common, but from time to time I get reprieve and my son will take care of the duty. :)

But, yes, I think it is the curse of being mom. I really do.

Thats funny. It soo true though. You should enforce a rule in your household saying that anyone who uses the last of the toilet paper on the roll should change it. Maybe that will help.

Men will start changing them when the moms stop. Hide a roll and use it until someone else takes the initiative to put a new one on!
Same goes for laundry. Don't do theirs if they don't help out on occasion. Then they'll have to do their own.
