Ive just undergone major heart surgery and my partner has been brilliant although i feel he has been overdoing things for me as im unable to do anything due to my recovery at present. We have had a huge row and he has told me that its finished between us. He cant take anymore and he is feeling exhausted although the reasons for the argument were to do with something else and not the fact that he had enough of helping and supporting me. Things have been fantastic betwen us recently and we have become closer than ever. We rowed because he is about to start playing rugby with a local team and i had to confess to a brief fling with one of the players 7 years ago and i didnt want to take the risk of him finding out and thinking i was hiding it from him but i didnt want idle gossip from this player either as he is a bit of a lad! Any advice please on what i should do?

You were right to tell your husband about the fling. You dont want your husband to hear it from someone else. And i hope you are having a good recovery from your surgery, and yes your husband had every reson to be by your side during the healing process.

I wouldn't have said anything about it. If he said something then I would have siad I forgot about that it was nothing. You should explain to him that it was no big deal and you have no feelings for the other guy
