What is the best get-to-know you icebreaker?

I need a great activitiy for two new staff to get to know everyone else (5 people). Everyone could use a laugh in my office.

play a memory game... you would sit in a circle and the first person will say their name and something they like to do, the second person will point to the 1st person and "say this Joe he likes to sleep, i'm maria and i like to sing" and so on

We have done an exercise before were each person writes down on a piece of paper something that happened to them personally in there life time or an event and put it in a hat. Then each person draws and tries to guess who it is if they get it right the person goes into more details and tells the group about the event.

Lunch out of the office is a great ice breaker. It puts everyone in a different element and people tend to loosen up.
