windows xp - tools/internet options/delete cookies

I find that a mini hoover with the nozzle attachment gets the crumbs out from between the keys easily. However, if the whole cookie has crumbled because you left it in your tea too long then you're gonna have to get the professionals in.

Seriously though, at the top of your browser page, click on TOOLS, then select INTERNET OPTIONS. On the 'General' page about half way down is 'Temporary Internet Files'. Click on 'Delete Cookies'. Job done. This will not however clear all the porn that you don't want your mum to find. ;o)

Deleting cookies how everyone suggested will not clear the cookies that are in the cache. The only way to clear stubborn cookies is to use a privacy program, such as ccleaner (notice the "cc" in ccleaner), you can get it on download.com. Or you could make like easy and just use Firefox. You can set up Firefox to automatically delete ALL cookies, and everything else everytime you close it.

1. Open a new Internet Explorer window.

2. Click on "Tools" and then go to "Internet Options".

3. In the second box/area down, click on the left box called "Clear Cookies".

4. You're done!

cookies are harmless pieces of inforamtion droped on your hard drive whenever you visit a website
most of the time they are harmless, but there are "tracking cookies from some sites which are sometimes classed as spyware or adware, these can be deleted by right clicking internet explorer and pressing delete cookies,
programs like adaware and spybot will sometimes pick up cookies as infections depending on what type they are,but a good routine to start is to delete them manually as described before
good luck

Well you shouldn't eat cookies while on the computer. I've given up on computer security, there is actually no such thing, because hackers are too clever by half. Still, it's not that important anymore. I do miss the jolly days on another forum sometimes!

Don't eat cookies while you surf!!!!

My wife Gloria once spilled milk all over my new Apple. She always complained that she couldn't eat cookies without a glass of milk. Well, she can now because i've locked her in the basement again..

Some cookies will over ride the 'clear cookies' command. Ewido and Ccleaner will deal with them.
