Someone is going to poke a nail through all the layers of your skin, yeah, I'd say it's gonna hurt.
Probably gonna leave a mark too.

Many piercing shops will tell you if your worried about the pain, your not mature/ready enough to get it done. Some shops will be sympathetic to you, others will not.

Piercings are painful ( its a needle), but most people describe it as a quick pinch. Like of like when you get a needle at the doctor. Many people say that the clamp hurts more than the actual piercing.( the clamp when they pinch the skin)

I've had it done, I've had many piercings done(I'm a Body piercer). As for me, I found that my worst piercing was my ear cartilage. But that's my personal preference, and everybody is different.

If your really afraid you can get a topical cream called EMLA cream. Basically you put it on an hour before and it absorbs into the first few layers of your skin, numbing it and it makes you mostly unable to feel the piercing. I've found that this works pretty well. Ask for it at any pharmacy and they should have it.

I can't say from personal experience but I've heard it isn't that bad. Think of getting your ears pierced (which you've probably had)..I don't think it's much worse than that. The pain is quick and once the piercing is over it quickly diminishes. Just make sure you have it down professionally opposed to doing it yourself or having a friend do it. Good luck :]

Well it depends on your pain tolerance. It's gonna hurt for a little bit i got mine pierced about 2 years ago...i suggest you pinch your skin there hard...that's about the amount of pain it'll be...if you do it make sure you keep it clean n wash it everyday with anti-bacterial soap (non scented) and a water and seasalt mixture...infections hurt more than the piercing itself.
Also i put an ice pack on it right after i pierced it numbed out the pain...just dont sleep on ur stomach or hug anyone too tightly....basically dont apply pressure

My daughter got her belly button pierced and she fainted. She said it didn't hurt but she was so excited and jumped off the table and fell right over. She had her upper inner ear pierced and she said that really hurt!

Of course piercings are painful.
You are having a needle pushed through your skin.
