The short answer is no, no identifying data is displayed on the Answers page. The only way anyone could do it is if they gained access to the actual Yahoo servers somehow which is incredibly unlikely. And even then they could really only get your IP address which isn't the magic bullet some people think it is and, in most cases, it would tell them nothing about you except what company you access the internet through, which is utterly useless obviously.

Remember, when doing anything online, not to give your real details, even when joining yahoo. give an email address, that doesent have your true details either..nothing i do online has my genuine details. Its simply not safe. You only need worry if you gave your real details to yahoo...if so, why? get a real post code from the phone book, fone number of a hotel, age and dob made up...if the details are "real" but not yours, or, collectivly, anybodies, the systems will work and accept them. Never give your details to anyone. As for answers, i frequently click peoples icons to see previous questions/answers, "provided" details, to decide how, and on what level to answer thier question best.
Ps. you have 13 best answers...well done!

I think Yahoo! Answers record / have records or peoples IP Addresses and as far as I know, the only real way for someone to 'get at you' is by hacking into Yahoo's systems and having a good look around.
However, I'm sure that Yahoo! will take and/or have taken 'steps' to prevent such a thing happening.
However those who choose to reveal their Yahoo! Messenger names leave themselves at greater risk, since you could attack them using Yahoo! Messenger, maybe even send them a dodgy file or direct them to a dodgy website and eventually gain access to your computer.
Great question.

some of the people who work at yahoo would have access.
Some of those people MIGHT be willing to take a bribe to hand out the info.
With a court order, yahoo would release the info to law enforcement officials.
Or, someone could hack into Yahoo.
so, it is theoretically possible.

If you click on your avatar it will take you to your profile page - there is a button that says something like 'what the public can see' and, I believe, that is what others see about you. I noticed you have too much info on yours. I hope I don't on mine - I have checked it and always double check, I hope I haven't missed anything.
I'll tell you something though - it's easy for someone to know a lot about you if they take the time to read all your answers. You've just reminded me to be more careful. Thanks for your question.

Just about anything is possible, but why worry about it, a meteroite could land on you tomorrow or that illegal immigrant that moved in next door could blow you up.
Don't worry too much over the little things that you can't control. Relax.
