You'll need a Bachelor's degree in social work and for higher positions, a Master's degree is recommended. I think it's a good career choice because you're helping others, but in terms of pay, they probably aren't paid as much as they could be considering the stress the job entails.

Whether it's a good career choice depends on your definition. It doesn't pay well and can be stressful. You will see situations you never dreamed existed. Burnout rate is high. On the other hand, it is a personally rewarding field where one person can make a huge difference in someone else's life.

If your goal is helping others and salary is not a big issue, by all means, go for it!

At least a Bachelor's Degree. This is an extremely challenging career and it doesn't necessarily pay well -- depends where you end up working (school, hospital, etc).

It requires a bachelor's degree.

And in order to really get the good jobs in that field, you will probably want more than that... Masters, or even PhD.
