This is probably the craziest thing ever, but oh well here goes....
I'm a virgin and I'm absolutly dreading my first time, because I know its going to absolutly reck...
I started using tampons a few years back and although I had no problem getting them in, getting them out was a completely different story... They always seem to get stuck on my hymen which is really thick. I'm really worried that it wont break when I first have sex and its going to be in so much pain... I can only get one finger in and no matter how hard I try, I can't manage two because it hurts so bad.
Has anyone else had this problem? If so what did you do? Can my doctor do anything?
I was thinking about cutting it but I guess thats a bad idea...
Please help!!!

I was the same way. Prior to having sex, I would "massage" the area so I can insert just a tampon. (like put in one finger and slowly and over time try to insert two fingers) I couldn't do that til I was 17.
When I had sex at 18. It hurt. Reminded me of just sharp period cramps with a lot of pressure (air pressure I guess can say).
But the issue is 1) I wasn't relaxed 2) I wasn't ready 3) No foreplay that helps get wet, extend the vaginal canel and mentally/physically/emotionally prepares you.
So, that didn't help. My hymen didn't tear til about the 7th time I had sex. He is a little bigger than adv size male. That didn't help either since I am a petite type of girl.
I never heard of a hymen being too thick. However, I would make a gyno appt and have them examin you just to make sure. Get medical advice from them since they will be the one examin and making the diagnoises of what could/couldn't happen.
When you do have sex, do everything I didn't do lol. Relax, foreplay, have lubrication handy, have him take it slow and very gentle. Prior to sex, make an appt with gyno to help ease your concerns.

OMG NO....don't cut it please don't what makes me hUrt thinking about u doing that....yes its sucks to say ur first time might really suck and be pain-full but that's how women's body's were made so leave Ur hymen alone trust me let your first time break it...which should be when Ur older and your body is rdy to have sex if Ur not rdy and u r pushed in to it it might hurt worse just give it time....Tampons will hurt sometimes coming out try a smaller size and never use tampons on Ur light days and don't take it out to soon...Breaking a hymen the wrong way can lead to problems i had to have surgery on my hymen last year because i tore it to much and it wrapped around my tampon it was scary and pain-full (no the tampon did not break it) so i had to have surgery to remove some of the riped hymen so it would not wrap around tampons or cause other problems.....so let it break when u have sex for the first time many yrs down the road i hope gl

For the tampon issue, there are slender tampons for that reason. The are dubbed "teen tampons." Sometimes your hymen may break because of the result of tampon usage.
As for dreading the loss of your virginity, don't have intercourse until you are completely ready. When you are ready and more relaxed it will not hurt very bad. It may or may not break depending on the size of the penis. As time goes on, it won't hurt, and will become enjoyable, but you need to be emotionally and physically ready.

sweetie, when you use tampons, the hymen is broken.
you shouldn't have too much to worry about, but the best thing to do is go to your gyno.
do not try to cut your hymen.
and btw, when a tampon doesn't come out easily, it usualy means it isn't time to change yet, or you didn't use the correct absorbancy.
(on the back and on the insert inside the pack of tampons it tells you what you need for your flow)

you should never use a tampon unless you're swimming and it could give use a disease. becuase you mostly used that it probally tightened that could be the reason.
