Plus he believes in a woman's right to choose, opposes the death penalty, supports gay rights (stopping short of marriage - does support civil unions). He generally believes in the freedoms that the left believe in. I don't think that would work out too well in the Republican party. Sure, he's wealthy - and always has been, but there's a long-standing tradition of wealthy Democrats in Massachusetts. So there ya' go.

He is considered by most vetrans to be a traitor because he hates freedom and supports America's foes on the battle field.
