As ateenager I had a step father and for the first 2 years i did everything to get rid of him but he stuck to his guns and we became the best of friends.I am now a step father myself and I can see all the mistakes I made for those first 2 years.I have teenage step kids and 2 younger step kids the teenagaers have tried to push me out of their mothers life where the 2 younger one's don't want to let me go.I am sticking to my guns as well because their mother deserves to have happiness in her life and if i am the man chosen to keep her happy then the teenage kids need to get over it as they don't live at home but like to think that they can control their mother anyway but she is standing her ground too.

My mother has been married 3 times and the first stepfather i had was a real butt. He wouldn't let us do anything at all. When we were little and would go down stairs to watch t.v. He would hear us up and come down stairs and turn the t.v. off saying he had to work on it and then go back to bed. Not to mention the fact that my real dad bought the t.v. in the first place. Now the one I have now he is okay just a little !ussy whipped by my mom.

I cannot say that I hate him but he is so manipulative I cannot stand him! My mom was widowed. Married this jerk against, everyone in our family and ppl who knew him before he was with my mom, wishes. He was looking for someone to care for him when his cancer returned...he married her (moved into my mom and deceased fathers house) and showed up with a suitcase and a truck. Other than that her life became HIS! He has done absolutely nothing since they married! He even refused to cut grass because he told my mom (get this!) the riding mower had too much power for him! So she does the grass.He refused to repair roof. Said ladder was too high! Held ladder for my mom to climb on roof and make repairs!!!!
He doesnt like kids so my mom (a grandmother of 5) avoided her own grandkids(my kids) so he wouldnt be uneasy.
He admitted to me one night at dinner by saying "I got lucky! I married someone who will take care of me, cook for me, clean for me, put a roof over my head and I dont have to do anything!" I wanted to deck the man! My mom has worn herself out!
His cancer has returned and she has just about killed herself taking care of him cuz he cant do anything for himself if she is around...but let someone else care for him..and he can do all things for himself! UGH!

OMGFG my stepdad HATES ME he thinks im always lying to him i try and give him rescpect i try to be nice to him but i cant i live with him my brother will do stuff and he will listen to my brother and be rude to me and i get grounded i cant wait till i move out ONLY 5 more years now waitin for the day ITS TO LONGGGG!!! o well i will live

no...i got 2 of em well one is ok the second on ran off with my lil bro n sis n i hate him for that but he was the best dad ever but the worst husband ever too, n my real dad is just an a.s.s

i dont.but u might hate him becuase your pretty much obligated to love ur real father, but not a stepfather

most step fathers are *****, i know mine was, and if you try to tell your mother about him for certain things they wont beieve you
