What fields offer flexibility, and decent pay? Or work at home positions? I'm a single mom, and a part time student. I have a full time job, but it's 11pm-7am, and it's so exhausting. I'm trying to review my options, but don't really know where to look. So, I'm looking for ideas...please post any advice or suggestions you might have, even if you think they're non-traditional or silly.

I am getting ready to take classes to be a certified Medical coder, they are in high demand right now you can go to AHIMA.org to get info. You take the courses from home. They make between 14.00 to 26.00 an hour. Some are contracted and work through their homes. Also Medical transcriptionist they are making really good money too. You can get on line to like hot jobs and search these 2 professions and most listings will tell you the pay.

With a computer at home and internet connection, you can start earning from home, without any investment. You should choose your work at home job according to your skills and time available.
The simplest work at home job is answering phone calls for companies like WorkathomeAgent, Alpine Access, Liveops. You will need a quiet enviroment at home without any disturbance. To apply you will have to complete an online application form on the companies website . A list of companies with websites is available at

I don't know your strengths, gifts and experience, so it is difficult to give you advice that is personal. I can say that if you are in school, what peaks your interest that you've studied so far? Pursue that field, do your homework by interviewing people and go to the library and look it up in the Occupational Outlook to see what the description is and salary.

Try SurveySavvy , it's free to sign up and you get paid to take surveys. I'm a member and it offers you a great opportunity to make a difference and earn money at the same time by taking research surveys online ~ I made $20.00 on my first survey and you also get paid for any survey your referrals take (the more referrals you get, the more money it's possible to make!!!)

P.S. They are a member of the Better Business Bureau!!

You could do one of those party selling things. They're are tons of different ones: Tupperware; Pampered Chef; Party Lite (candles); I attended a children's toy (can't think of the name) party once, it was great; then there are the sex toy ones, fun to attend, don't know if I could sell them!

People usually do these parties at night and on the weekend.

Or see if your school has any job-placement programs.

no matter if that's totally a remember of 48hrs then wait and be conscious what the directors say about funds. in case you go away you may ruin your probabilities of the back pay and any statutory redundancy money that could be due.
